Surviving are his parents, rural Minier; one brother, Roger, Hopedale; two sisters, Sherry Litwiller, rural Minier; and Kay Peachey, Reedsville, Pa; and his maternal grandmother, Villa Cork, Elgin. His paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather preceded him in death. Mr. Springer graduated from Olympia High School in 1988, from Hesston College at Hesston, Kan., in 1990 and was attending Bethel College in North Newton, Kan., majoring in communications when he became ill in February. He had done radio broadcasting at several stations in Kansas while attending school and for WCIC in Pekin. He was a member of Hopedale Mennonite Church. on December 15, 1992.3

He loved God, his family and helping all of his friends. Bill was a loving husband, father, papa and friend. He loved to build and play in the dirt with his tractor. His last days were spent at Shawnee Twin Lakes preparing his home for his wife and family.
