     Eunice Ione Reed Danville – Eunice Ione “Butch” Chapin, 94, of Danville passed away on December 8, 2017 and joined her beloved husband, “Jack”. She was born at home on October 7, 1923, a Sunday morning, in Hymera, IN, the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Ballard) Reed. “Butch” married John H. “Jack” Chapin on February 8, 1947 at Vermilion Heights Christian Church. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2004. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Two sons were born of their marriage, John Michael (Alicia Malloy) of Oak Park, IL, and Richard A. (Susan) of Oakwood, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Douglas (April) Ireland, Zachary (Allison) Chapin, Nicholas (Heather) Chapin, Leslie (Brian) Concordia and Zoe Chapin. She is also survived by four great-grandsons, Jonathan Ireland, Jackson Chapin, Aiden Chapin and Waylon Chapin. Other survivors include a sister-in-law, Eleanor Chapin, and several nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. “Butch” was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, “Jack”, her two brothers and their wives, Charles P.
