Veach, age 60, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 1:05 AM – Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, Illinois, reuniting with the love of her life John. Angila Lynn was born on November 2, 1961, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald Max and Linda (Hawes) Niccum. She married John Thomas Veach on July 7, 1979, in Greenup, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2020. Angila enjoyed decorating cookies and cakes for friends and family. Later she shared her skills working as a cake decorator for Wal-Mart. Angila was an animal lover, raising Dachshunds, chickens and rabbits. She loved being outside when the weather was nice enjoying the hummingbirds, frogs, her water fountains and flowers. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Angila is survived by: Children Eric (wife Ashley) Veach of Toledo, Illinois and Rachel (Rob Childress) Veach of Charleston, Illinois; Grandchildren – Savannah Zike, Vance Zike, Avery Veach and Alivia Veach; Brother – Farren Niccum; Mother-in-law- Dorothy Whitaker; Brother-in-law – Mike Veach. Angila was preceded in death by her parents and husband.² She was born on November 2, 1961 at Mattoon, Coles Co., Illinois.² As of July 7, 1979,her married name was Veach.¹ She married John Thomas Veach, son of Leonard Jesse Veach and Dorothy Ellen Whitaker, on July 7, 1979 at Greenup, Cumberland Co., Illinois.^1,2 Angila Lynn Niccum died on May 4, 2022 at Casey, Clark Co., Illinois, at age 60.²

He was a former employee of MECO of Paris. He was born July 4, 1953, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of the late Lavern and Beverly (Jones) Washburn. He married Anna Vice on February 25, 1978, in Paris, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Katrina (Scott) Shaffer of Paris; a brother, Larry Washburn of Albion, Illinois; five sisters, Cheryl Stolz of Effingham, Illinois, Shirley Webb and Charlotte Brown both of Decatur, and Trudy Timmerman and Sharon Martin both of Paris; six grandchildren, Connor Washburn, and Rayven, Dakota, Autumn, Savannah, and Keara Shaffer; his mother-in-law, Joan Vice of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Armentrout. Mr. Washburn was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
