Morin, better known as Hal, was born in Friscoe, Okla., to Ola Geneva and Otto Earl Morin. He grew up in Oklahoma as an adventurous child; he always liked tinkering with cars. He married and moved to California, where his first daughter, Linda Kay, was born. Hal had many friends and loved to ride motorcycles, boats and fast cars. In 1979, he married the love of his life, Judith Carol, and from this union came Kimberly. Hal loved life, his family and, most importantly, the Lord. He will be sorely missed and loved by many. Hal was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ola Morin of Thatcher, and son Ben Roach of Safford. Survivors include his wife, Judy (Van Dyck) of Safford; daughters Linda (Rich) Louder of Santa Rosa, Calif., Kimberly (Jimmy) Lozano of Safford and Mandy Roach of Safford; one brother, Vern (Dessie) Morin of Yuma; and one sister, Melba (Bill) Burnett of Thatcher; also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Nov. 18 at Safford Funeral Home. Hal was laid to rest at Hubbard Cemetery in Thatcher. on December 9, 2009.4

He was born at McComas, a son of Mrs. Beulah and the late Jess Evans. He had been a resident of Bluefield for the past eight years. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force, where he held the rank of staff sergeant. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Survivors in addition to his mother, are his widow, Maxine Davis Evans of Bluefield; three sons, Robert Evans of Orlando, Fla., and Ernest Evans Jr. and James Evans, both of Bluefield; three daughters, Sharon Demetree of Orlando, Fla., Carol Evans and Patricia Evans, both of Bluefield; and two grandchildren. Entombment will be at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Military graveside rites will lie conducted at the cemetery. on July 13, 1973.6
