Stofko on July 17, 1976.1,2 Shirley Ann Richmond died on September 26, 2009 at Plainfield, Will Co., Illinois, at age 53.1,2 She Shirley Ann Stofko, age 53, of Plainfield, IL at rest Saturday, September 26, 2009 after a four year battle with cancer at her home with her family at her side. She was born July 3, 1956 in Middletown, OH the loving daughter of Drema Miner and the late Fred Richmond. Beloved wife of Mark for 33 years; loving mother of Stacey Lynn (John Tyson) Stofko of Joliet, IL, Matthew John Stofko of Plainfield, IL, Nicholas Mark (Tracy Hanson) Stofko of Plainfield, IL and the late Mark Allen Stofko; cherished grandmother of Brooklynn Star Stofko; and her grand-cat, Connor Kitty; dear sister of Roger Richmond, Bobby (Flo) Richmond, Patty (Steve) Byland, Jeff (Misty) Richmond and the late Christopher Richmond; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Shirley was a 26-year member of the P.V.F.W.A. Was an active participant in RelayForLife, "Shirley's Turtles ... Racing for a Cure". Graduate of the Police and Fire Academy and was a very active member of the Plainfield Community. The family would like to thank Season's Hospice, the University of Chicago Hospital and Edward Hospital for all of their help during Shirley's illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 South Route 59, Plainfield, IL 60544. Interment at Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield, IL. on September 28, 2009.1
