     Velda May Caywood was buried at Garrett Cemetery, Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa.3 She was born on October 23, 1932 at Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa.2 As of June 10, 1951,her married name was Bensmiller.1 She married Leland Earl Bensmiller, son of Roy William Bensmiller and Lillie Florence Conner, on June 10, 1951 at Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa.1,2 Velda May Caywood died on July 16, 1964 at Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa, at age 31.2 She SIGOURNEY - Mrs. Earl Bensmiller, 31, died Thursday at 7 a.m. at her home here. She had been in health two years. The former Velda May Caywood, she was born Oct. 23, 1932, at Delta, where her early life was spent. She was graduated from Delta High School and was a member of Delta Christian Church. She was married June 10, 1951, to Earl Bensmiller of Sigourney, who survives. Surviving besides the widower are a daughter, Penny Sue, 7; a son, Michael Roy, 2; and her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Caywood of Delta. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Delta Christian Church. The Rev. Ronald Franklin, pastor, will officiate with the Rev. Don Job of the Lancaster Christian Church assisting. Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery with Holm Funeral Home in charge. on July 17, 1964.2

     Charles Edward Bergendahl was born on March 12, 1941 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.5,4 He married Ella Mae Miller on September 21, 1963 at Scarbro, Fayette Co., West Virginia.4 Charles Edward Bergendahl died on June 5, 2017 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 76.3 He Charles Edward (Ed) Bergendahl, 76, of Roanoke, Va., passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and children by his side on Monday, June 5, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents and a beloved sister, Sarah. During the Vietnam Era, Ed served in the United States Army. He was a former employee of Verizon Phone Company. Mr. Bergendahl was a longtime, faithful member of Bonsack Baptist Church, where he was active in the choir. Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Ella Mae Bergendahl; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Evan Rosenthal; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Caitlin Bergendahl; brother-in-law, Jack Williams; and nephew, Eric Williams. The Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Bonsack Baptist Church. Dr. Chris Cadenhead, Dr. Bob Moore and the Rev. Barry Green will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service. Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. on June 7, 2017.3
