Rosie was born August 15, 1940, in Bloomfield, Indiana, the daughter of Clyde and Genevieve (Haywood) Lenning. She grew up in Scotland, Indiana. On December 19, 1959, Rosie married Robert E. "Ike" Collins in Spencer, Indiana, and they made their home at Piqua. She worked 28 years for Palmers News along with several other jobs before retiring. SURVIVORS: Her Husband: Ike Collins of the home, 2 Sons: Ray Collins & wife, Susan of Iola, KS, and Randy Collins Piqua, KS, 1 Daughter: Kris Wallace & husband, Chris of Emporia, KS, 3 Brothers: Fred Lenning of Owensburg, IN, Nick Lenning & wife, Carolyn of Spencer, IN, and Brady Lenning of Piqua, KS, 1 Sister: Doris Hawkins of Jasonville, IN, 6 Grandchildren: Luke, Kylie, Staci & husband Adam, Miles, Tyler and Jordan, 2 Great Grandchildren: A'mayh and Zoey. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Lenning. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. BURIAL: Iola Township Cemetery east of Piqua, Kansas. MEMORIAL: Kidney Foundation. on December 20, 2012.2

     Ray Gene Collins Ray Collins, 57, of rural Piqua, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. Ray was born August 1, 1960, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Robert E. “Ike” and Rose Zetta “Rosie” (Lenning) Collins. He was a life-long resident of the Piqua area. He attended school in Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1978. On September 3, 1983, Ray and Susan Greathouse were married in Piqua. They became the parents of a son and a daughter. Following high school Ray was employed as a feed truck driver at the Yates Center Coop. He then drove for the Piqua Coop for twenty years before retiring in 2000 due to health problems. As soon as he was cleared to work again he delivered propane for D & D Propane in Humboldt until 2016. Ray loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He also enjoyed raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie, on December 19, 2012. He leaves his wife, Susan, of the home; his son, Luke Collins and his significant other, Whitney Sorenson, Yates Center; his daughter, Staci Slater and husband Adam, Yates Center; four grandchildren, Callan and Madelin Slater and Avery and Maverick Eakin; his father, Ike Collins, Piqua; his brother, Randy Collins and wife Sandy, Piqua; his sister, Kris Wallace and husband Chris, Piqua; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Burial will follow in Iola Township Cemetery east of Piqua.2 He was buried at Iola Township Cemetery, Iola, Allen Co., Kansas.2 He was born on August 1, 1960 at Iola, Allen Co., Kansas.2 He married Susan Greathouse on September 3, 1983.2 Ray Gene Collins died on March 13, 2018 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Kansas, at age 57.1,2
