She graduated from high school in Velma-Alma, Oklahoma and married Charles Albert Lee “Chock” Martin on February 21, 1952 in Henrietta, Texas. They moved to Johnston County in 1962. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and currently been residing in the Hillcrest Care Center in Tishomingo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 11, 2004; her brother, Alfred Lewis; three sisters, Alberta Marquez, Dorothy Graves and Juanita McCall; her half-brothers, Haskell Lewis and Rexford Lewis; and her half-sisters, Velma Coffman and Alma Coffman. Mrs. Martin is survived by three sons, Albert James Martin of Tishomingo, Charles Lynn Martin of Bromide and Ricky Wayne Martin of Milburn; her daughter, Virginia Lee Gray of Palm Bay, Florida; two sisters, Betty Sumner of Carrollton, Texas and Elnora Vineyard of Panama, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
