She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orofino for many years and was active in numerous social and charitable activities. She enjoyed the outdoors. Survivors include a son, Charles Thomas Gilmore Jr. of Weippe; three daughters, Elizabeth Marie Clark of Chicago, Tammi Kay Harris of Fort Lewis, Wash., and Hope Andrea Borquez of Mesa, Ariz; her mother, Ernestina Estrada of Chandler, Ariz; and six grandchildren. A daughter, Addie J. Clark, died previously. A graveside service will be held at at Riverside Cemetery in Orofino. on July 7, 1998.4

     James Albert Clark James Albert Clark, son of James Andrew and Nellie Claudine (O’Dell) Clark, was born December 28, 1939, in Creston, Iowa. He departed this life Thursday, April 20, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, three months, and twenty-two days. He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his daughters, Sonja Clark; a daughter, Addie June Clark; and his faithful companion of many years, Maxine Robertson. James is survived by three daughters, Hope Borquez, and her husband, Art, of Mesa, Arizona, Tammi Kay Harris, and her husband, James, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Elizabeth Kline, and her husband, Steven, of Chicago, Illinois; a step-daughter, Tina Gideon, and her husband, David, of Nixa, Missouri; a step-son, Kelly Secrest, and his wife, Briana, of Branson, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Camille Ladd, and her husband, Floyd, of Clancey, Montana, Sue Andersen, and her husband, Craig, of Branson, Missouri, and Martha Beaugard, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Creston, Iowa, and graduated from Creston High School in the Class of 1959. He worked for two years in the wheat harvest in Canada and the Western United States. He joined the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force from January 26, 1960 until January 24, 1964, and was an electronics specialist. He worked in the development of the F-105 Spit Fire. After being honorably discharged, James made his home in Nevada where he worked on nuclear test ranges. He then moved to Montana and Idaho before making his home in Missouri for the last thirty years. He had worked in telecommunications for most of his life, and operated his own business for several years. James had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith throughout the years. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He was multi-talented and did chainsaw art and carvings. He played the guitar, banjo and the piano. He also enjoyed building model cars. He liked being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.3 He was born on December 28, 1939 at Creston, Union Co., Iowa.3 He married Sonja Marion Smith, daughter of Warren Hathaway Smith and Ernestina Marie Conner, on October 3, 1964.1,2,3 James Albert Clark and Sonja Marion Smith were divorced in 1979.1 James Albert Clark died on April 20, 2017 at Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri, at age 77.3

She enjoyed being with her family and was an expert in crafts, cake decorating, cooking, sewing and coordinating the family holiday events. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her mother, Sonja Stewart of Weippe; her father, James A. Clark, address unknown; three sisters, Hope A. Borquez of Mesa, Ariz., Tammi K. Harris of Hinesville, Ga., and Elizabeth Clark of Chicago, Ill; one half brother, Charles T. Gilmore Jr. of Orofino; her maternal grandmother, Ernestine Estrada of Tempe, Ariz; her maternal grandfather, Warren Smith of Pahrump, Nev; her maternal great-grandmother, Elsie Conner of Phoenix, Ariz; and her paternal grandmother, Claudia Clark of Branson, Mo. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Orofino. on December 28, 1993.2
