He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Julia Miller. He loved his family and loved to grow vegetables and give them away to friends and family. He joined the U.S. Naval Service and served proudly from 1941 to 1947. He retired from Union Carbide after working 37 years. He did free electrical labor when asked and helped to build two churches. He loved the Lord God and was a serious, devoted messenger for Him. He was a member of the Bible Center Church congregation, South Ridge Corridor G church. He was a longtime Bible study leader for Hansford Senior Citizens Center and Kenna Homes Bible study class. He studied at Appalachian Bible Institute, Beckley. Surviving are his sons, Frederick E. Miller Jr. and Ronald A. Miller (fiancee, Pat Harting); daughter, Susan Kozielec (Edmond); granddaughters, Sarah Holstein, Amy Griffith and Leah Kozielec; grandsons, Joshua Miller, Jamin Miller, Ryan Miller and Jonathan Miller; 11 great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Michelle Burdette; VA Dr. Mahmood and nurse Linda Bricker; Hospice Care; Patty and Elby Thurman of The Haven, along with their staff; the wonderful Bible Center Care committee; and outreach ministers, the Rev. He was a member of the Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and also as a Deacon. He was a Scoutmaster and an active member of the Lions Club. Also a coordinator for the South Texas AARP Tax Aid Program. Prior to moving to Utah he had lived in Charleston, West Virginia; Savannah, Ga; and Corpus Christi, Texas. Surviving are his widow of Clearfield, two sons, John M. McGee, Las Cruises, New Mex; Sidney Dewey McGee III, Lincoln, Neb; four daughters, Mrs. Doyle (Cynthia M.) Allen, Clinton; Mrs. James Ed (Doris) Campbell, Hinckley, Ohio; Mrs. Frank (Ann) Sklenar, Revenna, Ohio; Mrs. Kenneth (Sandra) Dessigper, Miami, Fla; 16 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was born September 28, 1943 in Cleveland to the late Frank Jr. and Blanche (nee Macha) Sklenar. Frank was a member of the UAW Local 122 and a pastor for Coffin to the Cross Ministries. He was an avid coin collector and Cleveland Indians fan. Dick attended Franklin Elementary School and after moving to the beach, he attended La Jolla Junior and Senior High School where he excelled in football and the high hurdles. He graduated from La Jolla High in 1949 and attended Graclin College for a short time. Dick joined the Air Force in 1950 and went to basic training at Lackland Air Force base in Texas. After basic training, Dick was stationed in Charleston, West Virginia where he met and married his wife Ann Miller Waugh. Dick returned to San Diego in 1966 where he was an Air Force recruiter until he retired as a Master Sergeant. On May 1, 1998, he celebrated his birthday and on May 2, 1998, he was reborn into the kingdom of God and on May 3, 1998, his wife was reborn into the kingdom of God. He fought the good fight, and he finished the race. "Jesus is our friend". Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand-father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, brother in Christ and friend and he will be missed by his family and his many friends. Dick is survived by his wife Ann, and his four children, Bonnie (Dwight) Deal, Mike (Linda) Moran, Rick (Michele) Moran and Suzi (David) Moates, six grandchildren, Rhonda (John) Gamble, Melani (Steve) Roberson, Jeff (Kimber) Moates, Molly Moran, Joshua Moran and Rebekah Moran, and one great-grandchild, Timothy, and his two brothers- and sister-in-laws, Jim (Marty) and Tom (Jackie) Moran. on November 7, 2010.⁶
