Grant enjoyed meeting new people and telling life stories, his passion was about making a difference in the lives of others. His volunteer work started early in life with the Roanoke Junior Chamber of Commerce, Miss Virginia Pageant, Hollyberry Association, Southwestern VA Hunters Club, Sub Divider and Developer, Roanoke Valley Apartment Association. Grant is survived by three children, Sarah Jeanne of Roanoke, Lauren and Christina, his brother George Clatterbuck and sister Cynthia Colburn of California. He is survived by his wife, Sue Sayers; sons, Cory Sayers and Dean Sayers; sisters, Vi Hauenstein and husband, Bill, of Fairfax, Va., and Barbara Ady and husband, Don, of Summit, N.J; and niece and nephews, Scott, Wendy and Kim. Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Salem Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Brad Dulaney and the Rev. Ken Dupin will officiate. The family will receive friends there at the church from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Department at Redwood United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131. on February 28, 2015.2
