Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

J.D. and his wife, Jane, were both saved at Brown's Chapel, Dry Ridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane L. Blackwell, and brothers, Vernon Blackwell and John Paul Blackwell. J.D. is survived by nephew, John Paul Blackwell; several nieces; and a host of friends and neighbors. A special thanks to nurses, Billie Cullison and Scott Casdorph, and caregivers, Rhoda and Brian Gandee, for their loving care. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Mark Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. on June 25, 2014.4

Blackwell II, both of South Charleston; special cousin, Allen Simms and his wife, Barbara, of Winfield; and special caregivers, Carol and Johnny McDavid of South Charleston.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Mark Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. on July 7, 2011.2
