Nance was owner and operator of Piedmont Specialty Company in Collinsville. He served in the Air Force and was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1752 of Martinsville. He was a Baptist by faith. The funeral will held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Ron Mateer officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services for one hour before the funeral Saturday and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Elks National Home, 931 Ashland Ave., Bedford, Va. 24523. on June 19, 2004.2

     George Walter "Doc" Slatter was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2 He was born on June 29, 1870 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania; His death certificate has a birth date of Jun 22, 1870.2,3 He married Lucy Akillia Light, daughter of John Ballard Light and Rebecca Ann "Annie" Link, on June 22, 1908 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,4 George Walter "Doc" Slatter died on November 2, 1941 at South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 71.2,3 He George W. (Doc) Slatter, 71, of Spring Hill, widely known in West Virginia as an Indian herb doctor for 35 years and one of this section's most colorful characters, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in a South Charleston hospital. A powerfully built, man weighing 360 pounds and 6 feet 6 inches in height, he was known simply as "Doc" Slatter to thousands of persons who has used his herb medicines and plasters for years. He had spent the last few weeks in a wheel chair. Mr. Slatter had been in declining health for four years, but his condition did not become serious until a week ago. He was taken to the hospital Saturday night, his legs paralyzed, and died a few hours later. Before coming to West Virginia in 1909, Mr. Slatter had panned gold at Nome, Alaska from 1895 to 1902. He then went to Columbus, O., organized the Lucky Star Mining company and returned to Alaska for another year. While in the Klondike, one of his heels was frozen and he never completely recovered from the gangrenous infection. Mr. Slatter was born at Pittsburgh, Pa., on June 29, 1870. His Indian herb prescriptions had been handed down by his grandmother, who had obtained the formulas from Indians. He was a charter and life member of the Eagles lodge at Nome, Alaska, and a member of the Methodist church at Coopersville, O. Surviving are his widow. Mrs. Lucy Slatter, and a daughter, Mrs. Wilda Fragiet, both of Texas; a sister, Mrs. Bora Stewart of Waverly, O., and a brother, Fred Slatter of Oklahoma, with whom he went to Alaska in 1895. The body was removed to the Snodgrass mortuary at South Charleston. on November 3, 1941.3

     George Ernest Slatter was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.3 He was born on April 4, 1913 at West Virginia.1,3,4 He Injuries suffered Wednesday night, when he fell beneath an interurban car at South Charleston, Saturday proved fatal to George E. Slatter, 20 years old, who died shortly after noon at a hospital. Young Slatter's left leg was mangled and later was amputated. His condition grew steadily weaker since the accident. The youth, who is a graduate of Charleston high school, fell beneath the car when he ran against a pole in trying to catch the trolley after it had left a stop. He was a son of Mr. Mrs. G. W. Slatter, of Spring Hill. The Charleston chapter Order of De Molay, of which young Slatter was a member, will hold a special meeting at the Shrine mosque on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock to arrange to attend the funeral. The body was removed to the Owen and Barth Undertaking company. on January 7, 1933.5 He died on January 7, 1933 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 19.3,5,4

     Her Social Security Number was 236-58-6106.6 Rosalie Anne Frazier Rosalie Frazier Ingram, 74, of Cross Lanes, passed away at her home early Sunday morning November 24, 2013 after a lengthy but courageous battle with kidney disease. Rosalie was born in Charleston, a daughter of the late John Woodson and Wilda Ruth Slater Frazier. She was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church of Nitro. Survivors include her husband, Ronald; daughter; Margaret Ingram of Cross Lanes; the pride of her life granddaughter Meghan Workman of Good Hope, WV; sister Diane Fulknier of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her canine companion "Bob." Rosalie enjoyed her Friday monthly meeting at the Cross Lanes Library Club. She also enjoyed her friends at the Tri State Casino and Track. Rosalie loved to travel, sew, garden, and read. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday November 26, 2013 at Nitro First Baptist Church at 7:30 p.m. with Reverends Lawrence Hoptry and David Bess officiating. Friends were received at the church from 6:00 p.m. until time of services. Burial followed at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Thomas Healthcare and the nurses at the Greater Charleston Dialysis Center for their care and support.3 She was buried at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.3 She was born on April 26, 1939 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2,6,3,7 As of June 19, 1958,her married name was Ingram.2 She married Ronald Thomas Ingram on June 19, 1958 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2,3,8 Rosalie Anne Frazier died on November 24, 2013 at Cross Lanes, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 74.6,3,7

     Ronald Thomas Ingram We deeply regret the loss of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many, Ronald Ingram. Ronald passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Ronald was born July 9, 1937, the oldest son of Thomas Ingram, Jr. and Freda Little Ingram who preceded him in death. On June 19th, 1958, he married the love of his life Rosalie Frazier. They were blessed with 55 years of a loving marriage. She preceded him in death in 2013. Ronald was a devoted member of the United States Marine Corps, as which he was very proud – once a Marine, always a Marine – Semper Fi. Ronald retired from Bayer Corporation in 2003. He was a hard worker with outstanding work ethic. Ronald was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Nitro for many years. He loved his church family and enjoyed his time working on projects at the church. Ronald is survived by his daughter Margaret Anne Ingram of Charleston, his granddaughter Meghan Cavender and husband Jimmy of Cross Lanes. He is also survived by two special sisters, Lucille McClure (Tom) of Tornado, Regina Cummings (John) of St. Albans, one brother, Kenneth (Mary Alice) of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ronald is also survived by his canine family, Winston, Sadie, Morgan and Macy. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Ardith Rohmiller and her husband Fred, sister Judith Ingram and brother Roger Ingram. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Nitro. A celebration of Ronald’s life will begin at 7:00 PM Monday at the church with Pastor Bobby Goldberg and Dr. Lawrence Hoptry officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, WV.2 He was buried at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2 He was born on July 9, 1937 at Wood Co., West Virginia.3,1,2 He married Rosalie Anne Frazier, daughter of John Woodson Frazier and Wilda Ruth Slatter, on June 19, 1958 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,4,2 Ronald Thomas Ingram died on May 30, 2018 at West Virginia at age 80.2

     Riley Warren Baker was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.5 He was born on April 27, 1880 at Meigs Co., Ohio; His death certificate has a birth date of Apr 27, 1881.3,4,5 He married Electa Katherine "Letty" "Lecta" Light, daughter of John Ballard Light and Rebecca Ann "Annie" Link, on October 3, 1912 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia; Riley was divorced at the time of this marriage.1 Riley Warren Baker died on April 3, 1943 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 62.5,6 He Riley Warren Baker, 65, for 26 years an employee of the Kanawha Manufacturing Co., died yesterday afternoon at his 1113 East St. home from loss of blood after cutting his throat while shaving, it was reported. (his death certificate states it was a suicide) The body was removed to the Cunningham mortuary pending arrangements, which await arrival of two sons now in the army. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lecta Baker; three sons, David, at home; Sgt. Thomas Baker and Pvt. Cyrus Baker; and a daughter, Miss Stella Ann Baker, at home. on April 4, 1943.6
