     Nathan Scott Gearheart was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.² He Nathan Scott Gearheart, 57, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. He was born in Roanoke on Oct. 3, 1958, son of James Nathan Gearheart (deceased) and Dot Underwood Overstreet (surviving). Also survived by his sister, Darlene Gearheart Wade, brother, Todd Alan Gearheart, niece, Torea Gearheart, extended family and close friends. Scott was handsome, kind hearted, fun loving, and funny. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, swimming, Smith Mountain Lake, watching sports and car racing with his friends and he loved dogs. He was a star player at every sport - baseball, basketball, football, swim team and a natural musician who really rocked the electric guitar. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and all his good friends. Rest in peace Scott, you will be in our hearts forever. Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Helen Puckett Beckner; one brother, Richard Beckner; two nephews, Ricky Beckner and Darby Beckner of Tampa, Fla; and an aunt, Pauline Hoback. He retired from General Electric. Buford served in the U. S. Navy and was a life member of the National Rifleman's Association. He believed strongly in Freedom For Gun Rights. Buford enjoyed the sports of fishing and hunting. Mr. Beckner was a member of the Preston Oaks Baptist Church, which he and his wife attended for thirty nine years. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Irvin Sloan and the Rev. Patrick Collins will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237. on January 4, 2005.²

Richard was born December 7, 1943 in Tampa, FL. Preceded in death by his parents, Willie Joe and Mabel Beckner of Tampa, FL, and brother Buford Beckner of Roanoke, VA. Richard is survived by his wife Linda J. Beckner of Bell, FL; son, Richard H. Beckner, Jr. and his wife, Yelixa and four grand-children; son, Darby Joe Beckner of Tampa, FL; and one stepson, Izeek Schockley of Bell, FL; sisters-in-law, Eddie Brazil of Moultrie, GA, Sue Powell of Powder Springs, GA, and Maxine Brown and her husband, Marvin, of Riverview, FL; and brothers- in-law, Alvin Tillman of Nobleton, FL, and Ray Tillman and his wife, Carolyn, of Douglas, GA. Richard had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and will always miss him. His will be missed by his former wife and friend, Kay Beckner de Lama. Richard worked for the Local 925 Union, and was a member of the Masons Joppa Lodge 4F.AM Bell, FL. Richard Loved his boys and spent many days fishing and hunting, and his love for them and his family will never be forgotten. on February 9, 2014.⁴

     Dale Claude Hiatt was buried at Estates of Serenity, 1101 South Lincoln Blvd., Marion, Grant Co., Indiana.^2,3 He was born on March 4, 1916 at Ohio.¹ He married Lucille Evelyn Gear, daughter of William Ray "Willie" Gear Sr. and Minnie Ellen Bragg, on February 27, 1937 at Grant Co., Indiana.¹ Dale Claude Hiatt died on June 7, 1978 at Gas City, Grant Co., Indiana, at age 62.¹ He GAS CITY - Funeral services for Dale C. Hyatt, 314 E. N. "D" St., Gas City, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jay-Swiff & Storey Funeral Home, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. The Rev. John Vickrey will officiate, and burial will be in the Marion IOOF Cemetery. Mr. Hyatt died at 8 am Wednesday at his home after a long illness. He was a retired electrician. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Gas City, and a veteran of World War II. Survivers include his wife, Mary, and one daughter. One son was deceased. on June 9, 1978.²
